It is similair to the original because the wolf eats the grandmother and LITTLE RED RIDING HOOD says "What big ears you have grandmamma" and points out other facts about the wolf(just like she did in the original) BUT instead of the wolf eating all of them and a lumberjack saves the day in this version LITTLE REED RIDING HOOD pulls out a gun and kills the wolf afterwards making a coat with the deceased wolf.
It is different from the original version because at the end in says. "The small girl smiles. One eyelid flickers. She whips a pistol from her knickers. She aims it at the creature's head, and bang bang bang, she shoots hmim dead." This part is different because at the end Little Red Riding Hood doesn't pull out a pistol and shoot the wolf dead. Also the wolf is suppose to win by eating Little Red Riding Hood but in this sequel the wolf loses by being shot dead.
This version of the LITTLE RED RIDING HOOD by Roald Dahl is similiar to the traditional LITTLE RED RIDING HOOD because of some of the things she says like, "What great big ears you have, Grandma." and the wolf replied, "All the better to hear you with but, it was also different when Little Red Riding Hood pulled out a gun from her knickers and shot the wolf whereas, in the traditional version, the wolf eats Little Red Riding Hood as well as her Grandmother.
I think the pistol part was cool. It also made me think of the book that I'm currently reading, "The Hunger Games" because of the plot twist going on. Usually Little Red Riding Hood is so non-violent, but now she has a gun and she ain't afraid to use it. Also, it's much different than the original, and though I can't remember the normal ending, I'm positive it wasn't that.
This vrsion of Little Red Riding Hood is very different compared to the traditional story. In this version by Roald Dahl, Little Red Riding Hood shot the Big Bad Wolf and then make a lovely coat out of him. But in the traditional story, Little Red Riding Hood is bringing a lunch to her grandma when he meets the Big Bad Wolf in the woods. When he gets to her grandmother's house she find the wolf disguised as her grandma. The Big Bad Wolf eats little red riding hood. A lumberjack then comes and find the wolf. He then kills the wolf and take Little Red Riding hoods and her grandma out of the wolf. The stories are quite different
LITTLE RED RIDING HOOD There were a lot of things different about this version of Little Red Riding Hood compared to the original. First, the wolf didn't eat Little Red Riding Hood's grandma. He just stuffed her in her closet. Another reason that this version was different is that the wolf did not sit in a rocking chair. He laid in grandma's bed. Another difference was that Little Red Riding Hood did not shoot the wolf in the original version. A lumber jack came and killed the wolf in the original version. The last reason that this version was different is because at the end of the story Little Red Riding Hood was not wearing a fur coat. by Lindsay O.
I thought that Roald Dahl's version of LITTLE RED RIDING HOOD was much different from the original one. I thought so because instead of the wolf meeting little red riding hood in the forest, little red rding hood shoots him with a pistol. I think that the original version of LITLE RED RIDINGHOOD is a little bit less harsh and more apropriate for young kids.
this version of little red riding hood was diffrent because little red riding hood has a gun, and she comments on his fur coat instead of his teeth, she also shoots him dead which is not the original ending where the wolf eats little red riding hood. there were also things that were the same, like the grandma still gets eaten, and disguises himself as her to eat little red riding hood.

It compares to the original when the wolf puts the clothes on impersonating grandma and when red asked about all the things eg: Big ears, Big head, ect... But, when red pulls out the gun that makes me think that this was altared a bit and is not as friendly as the original.
It was very different from the original. In the original Little Red Riding Hood meets him in the woods ahd when she gets to Grandma's house she says "What big ears you have. What big teeth you have." Which is the same. But she definitely doesn't pull out a pistol and shoot the wolf! The original, I think is a lot more appropriate for kids since it is a kids story. But I did like this version of the story too.
This version of the LITTLE RED RIDING HOOD differs from the original beacause in this version red riding hood shoots the wolf with a pistol and then makes a coat out of the wolf but in the original version the wolf eats red riding hood and then a lumberjack comes and kills the wolf.
This version of LITTLE RED RIDING HOOD, by Roald Dahl is very different from the original story. An example of the variation is when the wolf corrects Red Riding Hood on her "lines". Another difference is when little red riding hood shoots the wolf with a pistol appose to a lumberjack killing it. Also, after the shooting, Red Riding hood has a wolf fur coat from her recent kill.
This version of the story is different because of the violent turn of the wolf getting shot in stead of drowned or run out of town. it is similar because the wolf eats grandma but fails to eat red and she helps grandma by doing SOMETHING to the wolf
